“The more you read the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you’ll go.”

Dr Seuss

The library is a fantastic learning resource for students. The library is equipped with the latest computer software, laptops and thousands of books covering every subject and fulfilling students learning needs. We also have an extensive range of fiction for students to enjoy. Daily newspapers and magazines are also available.

  • Every year the library shadows the Carnegie medal for children’s literature. Students are challenged to read and review the shortlisted titles. This is an extremely popular reading challenge with the students
  • The library also runs an annual reading competition with fantastic prizes. Last year the first place winner won a lap top.
  • Students take an active role in the library and we are very lucky to have a team of dedicated student librarians.
  • To take advantage of this fantastic resource the library is available before school from 7:30am, at break, lunch and after school for all students to study independently or read in a calm and quiet environment.

If anyone has any books they’d recommend, want some suggestions about what books other students are reading, or want to donate some books of appropriate age that are no longer wanted please contact Mrs Taylor via email at
